An indigenous organization, deeply rooted in Ogun State, The Rising Hope Initiative (TRHI) was founded in 2006, with a mission to create opportunities for children, women and families living in poverty to have access to healthy and empowered lives.

With first-hand knowledge and understanding of the local context and the needs of its people, TRHI continues to combine highly coordinated strategies and resources to implement child and youth development programs and women empowerment programs that focus on the physical, social and cognitive development of children, youth and the empowerment of women in Ogun state.

With a population of over 200,000 people, 40% of whom are under the age of 30, and 60% of whom are women, TRHI recognizes that programs targeted toward women, children and youth are essential to achieving sustainable development in the state and Nigeria as a whole. The Initiative continues to deliver 5 proven key program strategies to more than 20,000 children and youth as well as 40,000 women in Ogun state. Today, in the state of Ogun, children and their families are being empowered to overcome poverty and thrive both now and into the future.
